What is Family Mediation?
Family mediation is a voluntary, confidential, and non-binding process in which a mediator helps two or more parties reach an agreement on a disputed issue. The mediator is a neutral third party who helps the parties communicate, clarify their interests, and explore possible solutions.
The mediator does not make decisions or take sides but rather facilitates the negotiation process. Family mediation can be used for a variety of issues, including divorce, separation, child custody, parenting plans, financial settlements, and estate distribution.
